Following on from a burial or the placing of cremated remains in a Churchyard or Cemetery, you may choose to have a suitable memorial placed on the grave. We work with K&S Memorials to create memorials that will provide a fitting tribute to your loved one. Michael Thorne will advise you on what materials, designs and wording are acceptable in order to comply with the respective Churchyard or Cemetery regulations. He can also arrange for an additional inscription to an existing memorial.

The regulations for Churchyards are drawn up by the individual Diocese and in many cases may be considerably restrictive as to what is to be permitted. Cemeteries however, are usually more flexible in the material and style of memorial permitted along with the more liberal approach as to the wording of the inscription. Many authorities do not allow the placing of a memorial for six to nine months after a funeral.
